April Missionary Update from the Field!

Spring is finally here!

Dear Friends, Family, & Fellow Believers,

If you’re wondering what we’ve been up to over the last month, the answer is: a lot! We’ve been busy visiting churches and preaching. Additionally, the planning for Camp Challenge is already in full swing and we have been busy processing camper registrations and staff applications. To learn more about Camp Challenge, go to campchallenge.net. I have been busy with seminary classes (over half way done with my second master’s!), and Christiana has been busy working long days stage managing at the melodrama. No breaks any time soon as I will soon be making a 14 hour drive to northern Oregon for an InFaith conference, and we’ll be welcoming our first nephew into the world, due any day now!

Area Spotlight: Lebec

Last month I had the opportunity to fellowship with the believers of the Lebec Community Church and made the 2 hour drive to this little town situated on The Grapevine. I was invited to attend their annual congregational business meeting and was greeted with warm smiles, a devotion to faithful obedience to God’s Word, and one of the biggest potlucks I’ve ever seen! This church is larger compared to some of the others I’ve been to (50+ people), lively and energetic, and very oriented with reaching out to the local community. They are in the process of choosing elders, and I’ve been praying for wisdom for their current elders as they choose men who are, “…above reproach as God’s steward, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain, but hospitable, loving what is good, sensible, just, devout, self-controlled, holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict” (Titus 1:7-9). Would you consider praying with me for the growth of this Christ-centered church and the discipling of the men who will lead it?

Prayer Requests and Praise

• Please pray for safe travels for Dean as he makes his way to northern Oregon for an InFaith conference. It will be a time of fellowship, mentoring, and spiritual refreshment, but also a very long drive with a full week of rain.

• Please remember to keep Pastor Chuck of the California Valley Community Church in your prayers as he continues to battle illness, medication imbalance, and other ailments that come with being a man in his 90’s.

• Pray for Camp Challenge, its preparations for the 2018 camping season, its staff, and its past and future campers.

•Our funding is now at 7%, so we have a very long way to go. Please pray that the Lord would use His people to provide the financial support we need to continue this ministry, and that we would not grow weary or discouraged in doing Christ's work.

• Praise and prayer for Christiana and me, that the Lord would continue to bless our relationship, wedding planning, and ministry, as He has abundantly blessed us thus far.

Partner with us!

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve God on the Central Coast, and we would like to ask you to partner with us in this ministry. If you are able to assist this ministry financially, I would ask that you visit my support page (infaith.org/dean-dilger), or forward any tax-donation made payable to InFaith (address below) with “Dean Dilger” in the memo line. This ministry and outreach to the Central Coast is being funded entirely through donations, and it’s your support that will make all the difference in the lives of many believers. If you have any thoughts, encouragements, or questions, please feel free to call me at 805-391-4157 or e-mail me at ddilger@infaith.org. I thank you in advance for your prayers and support. May God bless your faith in His servants!

In Christ's Service Together,

Dean Dilger
